Actions Counters Terrorism (ACT) for Education e-learning is bespoke training aimed all staff working in education settings and will teach learners how to identify security vulnerabilities, suspicious activity and how to respond when there is an incident. This free course has been developed by the Department for Education in collaboration with the National Counter-Terrorism Security Office using core principles such as Run, Hide, Tell, the HOT Protocol and the Power of Hello.

The aim of this course is to provide learners with sufficient knowledge and skills to prevent data protection issues. The module covers the most common ways data is collected, used and stored; the risks of misuse of personal information; the regulations that organisations must comply with; and the rights of individuals regarding their data. The module will take approximately 45 minutes to complete. At the end of the interactive learning you will be presented with a 10 question multiple choice assessment that you need to pass to complete the course.

This module is a compulsory requirement for all staff employed across Capital City College Group to complete within their first 3 days of employment.
